One of our design philosophies with HR Partner was that we would try as much as possible not to restrict our users into a particular workflow, or way of entering data. We realise that every company has their own methodologies and culture around HR, and we wanted our system to be able to get out of the way as much as possible and assist with that.
As we grow, and welcome much more diverse companies into our family, we started hearing requests to broaden out the categorisation of employee genders. It seemed that while 'Male' and 'Female' were acceptable to a lot of users, there were others who wanted to embrace diversity and inclusivity to the next level, and needed more.
We are proud to announce that we can now support multiple gender identities in HR Partner - if you want to have it. Existing users will see no change at all, but if you wish to expand on the 2 genders built into HR Partner, then you only need to turn on one flag in your company setup in HR Partner to unlock more.
How many gender identities do we support in HR Partner? Well, that is entirely up to you, as we have found out that some companies need only 4 or 5, whereas other will need up to 30. There is no limit. Feel free to set up your own identities, and to add to them later.
This is just another way to demonstrate that we truly are a modern HR system for emerging business. We heartily celebrate and support diversity within our own company, and love seeing our customers doing so as well.
