Announcing custom contact types and more

We have added custom contact types to HR Partner, along with a whole host of other improvements to make using HR Partner much smoother for you, especially in the Performance Management module.

You've probably noticed that you can enter in many different contact points for your employees, including Phone, Email, Mobile, Instagram, Facebook etc. but sometimes even the 15+ contact points that we have in the system isn't enough, and you might want to add that one social media or chat app that your team uses that isn't on our list.

Well, the good news is that now you can add as many custom contact points as you want in the system.  And what's more, your employees can update or add those custom contacts on their ESS portal if they have permission to do so.

Check out our help article here for more information on how you can create your own Contact types in HR Partner.

Other updates

It's been a while since we have sent out an update email to our customers, but that is only because we have been so busy working on small improvements in the system here and there, that we haven't had time to tell you about them all.

Here are just some of the improvements and minor features we have added in the past couple of months:

  • Performance Management - Manager (and even Peers/Colleagues) can now add or edit an employee's Goals while doing a performance review for them on the ESS portal.  We have made a whole bunch of improvements in our Performance module, including the ability to specify notification emails rules during a review.
  • Recruitment - We have made performance improvements to speed up the chart and map displays on the recruitment dashboard, as well as made it faster to load up the Kanban board view of applicants when looking at a job listing that may have thousands of applicants.
  • Checklists - You can now copy existing checklist templates as a starting point for generating new (similar) checklists within your company.
  • Deactivating - We are slowly introducing the ability to 'deactivate' certain things like Scorecard Items or Applicant Stages so that they won't clutter up your views while creating new templates that might use them.  Over time, we will be incorporating the ability to deactivate many other options in our app such as Departments and Locations etc. to make it easier as your company grows.
  • API - We have made some improvements to our public API, including the addition of more details when requesting employee information, which might be useful when analysing data in another system.

There are many more small changes - too many to mention here, but we are looking at better ways to communicate all these incremental changes to our customers without overwhelming or bombarding you with emails and notifications.  If you have any suggestions for us on how we can achieve this, please let us know at support@hrpartner.io
