Employee Portal UI Upgrade — A More Modern HR Partner Experience

We’re excited to share that the HR Partner employee portal has received a major front-end upgrade.

Over the past several months, we’ve been rebuilding our UI layer using a modern component-based framework powered by Tailwind CSS. This transition gives us a stronger, more scalable design foundation — while keeping your existing workflows and functionality exactly the same.

To be clear:
No features or processes have changed.
This is a visual and architectural upgrade only.

What You’ll Notice

While everything works as it did before, you’ll experience:

  • A cleaner, more modern interface
  • Improved visual hierarchy and spacing for faster scanning
  • Clearer navigation and more intuitive layout patterns
  • Consistent styling across modules

The goal was to make everyday tasks — like viewing your profile, submitting leave, completing checklists or logging time — feel simpler and more intuitive.

What’s Changed Behind the Scenes

This update is more than a reskin.

We’ve migrated the employee UI to a utility-first CSS framework (Tailwind), allowing us to:

  • Standardise our component library
  • Improve UI consistency across the platform
  • Reduce styling complexity and technical debt
  • Improve responsiveness across screen sizes
  • Accelerate future front-end feature development
  • Establish a scalable design system foundation

By modernising our front-end architecture, we’re investing in long-term performance, maintainability and product velocity.

This creates a more reliable base for future enhancements and ensures we can deliver improvements faster and more consistently moving forward.

Who Is This For?

This rollout applies to employee users only.

We are actively working on migrating the admin interface to the same modern framework, with rollout planned later this year. We’ll share updates as we progress.

This upgrade represents an important step in the ongoing evolution of HR Partner — modernising the experience without disrupting the workflows you rely on every day.
